Fractured Fairy Tales premieres at St George Cultural Centre with a season at Empire Theatre Toowoomba, May 2025
RAVA Productions premiered their work Fractured Fairy Tales at the St George Cultural Centre, playing 2 performances for 110 children from around the district in May 2025.
Children from local primary schools were engaged in post-performance workshops, while secondary drama students took part in an advanced workshop facilitated by the cast.
This premiere was supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund, a partnership with Balonne Shire Council and Arts Queensland.
The production returned to home base, presenting three performances for schools at the Empire Theatre Toowoomba and playing to a further 400 children.

Fractured Fairy Tales creative development and premiere seasons wee supported by the Australian Government’s Regional Arts Fund, provided through Regional Arts Australia, administered in Queensland by Flying Arts Alliance.
Cast members, Carla Beard (Round The Twist, Queensland Theatre, Into The Woods, Ad Astra), Martelle Simon-Green (Backbone Youth Arts), Jacob Watton (Trent Dalton’s Love Stories, Founding Artist RAVA Productions, Charlotte’s Web, The Wind in the Willows, Choreographer) and Samuel Ashfield Webb (RAVA’s The Wind in the Willows, Ad Astra) joined Director, Alison Vallette and Producer Ruth Atkinson for an intense two-weeks of creative development in April 2025.

The Wind in the Willows premiere at Empire Theatre Toowoomba
RAVA Productions premiered their classic tale for children The Wind in the Willows at the Empire Theatre Toowoomba in March 2022.
The Production toured twice reaching 23 communities in Queensland.
In September 2022 performing in Goondiwindi, St George, Yeppoon and Caloundra.
In 2022, The Wind in the Willows toured to western and central Queensland visiting Barcaldine, Aramac, Boulia, Winton, Emerald, Capella, Hughenden, Julia Creek, Longreach and Mount Isa.
The tour continued to coastal Queensland to visit Mackay, Proserpine and Townsville before ending at Wandoan, Miles, Chinchilla, Millmerran and Beaudesert.
Charlotte’s Web set to tour regional Queensland in June/July 2021
Support from the Queensland Government through The Playing Queensland Fund, an initiative of Arts Queensland makes it possible for RAVA Productions to take Charlotte’s Web on the road.
Charlotte’s Web will tour to 13 communities including Goondiwindi, Roma, Ingham, Townsville, Charters Towers, Mackay, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Logan, Maryborough, Capella and the Sunshine Coast.
The tour commences after its season at the Empire Theatre on 24 June.
Charlotte’s Web welcomes Touring
The Charlotte’s Web cast and crew are thrilled to be heading to 13 communities in regional Queensland in June/July.
They are particularly keen to facilitate workshops with children and engage with primary school teachers to make the most of the learning opportunities supporting the children’s production.
Workshops in drama, dance and music can be scheduled in school holidays or term time while the cast is on tour.
